Originally from France, Benjamin Baile has been living in Japan for over twenty years and attending Fuji Rock Festival since 2002.

“Part of the week end never dies.” Fuji Rock is a unique universe, a kind of time capsule existing outside ordinary daily life. Rather than focusing on artists or concerts, Benjamin explores everything else that exists around the festival and defines its spirit.

Each year, he slowly adds only a few new images to the archive with the long term objective of producing an exhibition and a photo book.

フランス出身のベル・ベンジャミンは、20年以上日本で暮らし、2002年からフジロックフェスティバルに通っている。

「週末の終わらない断片」 フジロックは、日常から切り離された独自の世界であり、一種のタイムカプセルでもある。ベンジャミンはアーティストやライブそのものではなく、フェスの周囲に存在し、その精神性を形作るものを撮影している。

毎年少しずつ写真を積み重ねながら、長期的には展示と写真集の制作を目指している。
